The Biggest Introvert: the Sensitive Plant

Shy plant, sensitive plant, mimosa plant, are all names for a mesmerizing plant that will have your jaw dropping! Upon touching its leaves, the Sensitive Plant will rapidly fold inward, hiding its leaves and dropping its stems; the ultimate recluse. 

This introverted reaction is due to tiny electrical signals that tell the plant to increase or decrease water pressure to the leaves. The response is meant to keep foraging animals and insects at bay. With its leaves tucked away, the plant will look barren and thorny.. not yummy at all!
